Hyderabad Heavy Rain | Hyderabad, August 3 (Maxim News): City authorities have issued a heavy rain alert for Hyderabad, warning that intense rainfall is likely to continue in several parts of the city until Monday night. In view of the weather conditions, Hyderabad Police have urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid unnecessary travel.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected across various parts of the city. Following the forecast, Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar appealed to citizens to stay indoors unless there is an emergency.
The Commissioner advised people who are currently outside to complete their work at the earliest and return home safely before the intensity of the rain increases. He stressed that avoiding unnecessary movement would help reduce risks during adverse weather conditions.
Hyderabad Heavy Rain | Police Issue Safety Advisory for Motorists
Police warned motorists against travelling through waterlogged roads and low lying areas that are vulnerable to flooding. Residents have also been advised to stay away from inundated locations and avoid crossing flooded stretches, as water levels can rise rapidly.
Vehicle owners have been asked to drive slowly, maintain safe distances and exercise extra caution during rainfall. Authorities said travel should be undertaken only if absolutely necessary, with all safety precautions strictly followed.
The police further urged citizens to closely monitor weather updates and follow official advisories issued by the Meteorological Department and disaster management authorities. Emergency response teams remain on alert to respond to rain related incidents across the city.
Officials reiterated that public cooperation is essential to ensure safety during the ongoing spell of heavy rainfall and requested residents to report any emergencies to the concerned authorities without delay. (Maxim News)
