Lallaguda Police | Hyderabad, June 8 (Maxim News): Lallaguda Police solved a brutal murder-for-gain case in Secunderabad. They arrested two accused quickly. They also recovered stolen property.
Smt. Rakshitha Krishna Murthy, DCP Secunderabad Zone while addressing the press conference said that the police registered the case as Crime No. 239/2026 under Sections 103(1), 309 r/w 3(5) of the BNS at Lallaguda Police Station limits.
The victim is Jai Prakash Deshmukh, aged 38. He came from Salhe village in Madhya Pradesh. He worked as a mason in Hyderabad.
Police arrested Dhabee Vinod, 30, from Tukaramgate. They also arrested Makkala Mohan, 19, from Addagutta. Both worked as delivery boys.

The incident happened in the early hours of June 3, 2026. First, police received an emergency call through Dial 100 and 112. Immediately, officers rushed to Tukaramgate near Railway Nilayam.
There, police found the victim in a pool of blood. He had deep head injuries. In addition, police found stones near the body. They also found a liquor bottle and a bag, she said.
Initially, police suspected a violent robbery attack. Therefore, they started a detailed investigation.
Soon after, police formed special teams. The Task Force also joined the probe. Together, they checked CCTV footage. They also collected technical evidence from multiple locations.

Meanwhile, police traced the suspects using intelligence inputs. After that, they identified both accused. They arrested them on June 8, 2026 in the early morning hours.
Later, during interrogation, the accused confessed. They said they planned the robbery near Monda Market. Then they lured the victim by offering a drop to Secunderabad Railway Station.
However, they diverted him to a secluded place. When the victim resisted, they attacked him with stones. As a result, he died on the spot. After that, they stole ₹110 and a mobile phone, she added.
Then they escaped using an electric bike. Police later recovered the bike and mobile phone based on their confession.

In addition, police confirmed that A-1 had a past criminal record in Malkajgiri limits. Therefore, investigators treated the case as a repeat offence linked to robbery patterns.
Furthermore, police traced the victim’s identity after three days. They used social media alerts. Then the family members identified the body at Gandhi Hospital mortuary. Later, police handed over the body, she further added.
Finally, police produced the accused before the court. The court sent them to judicial custody.
The teams worked under the supervision of Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, DCP Task Force, J Narsaiah- Addl. DCP, Sec’bad Zone and under the guidelines of K. Shashank Reddy- ACP Chilkalguda Divn, T. Ashok Kumar, SHO Lallaguda PS, Rajashekar, Inspector Task Force, L. Madhu Babu, DI Chilkalguda and the teams are highly appreciated by the senior officers.
Moreover, police advised citizens to stay alert during night travel. They also urged people to report suspicious activity to Dial 100 or 112.
