Hyderabad, July 28 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a public safety advisory after heavy rainfall lashed several parts of the Greater Hyderabad region, leading to waterlogging and severe traffic congestion on major roads.
Authorities said traffic movement has slowed significantly due to rainwater accumulation at several key junctions and low lying areas. Motorists and commuters have been urged to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel until weather conditions improve.
The police advised citizens to avoid venturing out unless absolutely necessary. Those who must travel have been asked to drive slowly and cautiously, while avoiding roads submerged under water.
Motorists have also been requested to strictly follow the directions of traffic police personnel deployed across the city to regulate vehicular movement in affected areas.
The Traffic Police warned that travel times are likely to be longer than usual because of waterlogging and slow moving traffic. Commuters have been advised to plan their journeys accordingly and remain updated through the Hyderabad Traffic Police’s official social media channels for real time traffic alerts and route advisories.
Reiterating that public safety remains its top priority, the Hyderabad Traffic Police appealed to residents to stay indoors as far as possible and cooperate with officials until the weather situation improves. (Maxim News)
