According to officials, HYDRA received a complaint that encroachers had occupied a portion of government park land. The complaint stated that about 600 years of the total 2100 yards of park land had been encroached upon. The land is located in survey numbers 24, 25, and 26 on Nandi Hills Road No. 8 in Prashanthi Division. Meanwhile, officials said the encroachment involved layout activity on protected land.

After receiving the complaint, HYDRA officials inspected the site without delay. The inspection was carried out under the leadership of HYDRA CI Thirumalesh. During the inspection, officials found that attempts were made to encroach on the park land. They then removed the illegal layouts. Later, they fenced off the encroached area to prevent further violations. As a result, the government park land was secured.

HYDRA officials revealed that the protected land is worth about three crore rupees. They said fencing helped ensure the land remained safe from future encroachments. They also made it clear that park land allocated for public use would not be encroached upon under any circumstances. Therefore, officials stressed that public property would remain protected.

Meanwhile, HYDRA officials warned that strict action will be taken against such irregularities in the future as well. They said similar inspections and crackdowns would continue wherever complaints are received. The officials reiterated that government land, especially park land, must remain accessible to the public.
