- Khanapur chairperson election sees argument among councilors
Hyderabad, April 4: Ibrahimpatnam Municipality results have been announced, with BRS securing control in Rangareddy district. Tekula Sudarshan Reddy has been elected as the Chairman. Meanwhile, BJP councilor Mutyala Shyamala has been elected as the Vice Chairperson.
The development marks a clear outcome in the local body elections. BRS managed to win the municipality, while BJP secured the vice chairperson post. The results reflect the distribution of positions between the two parties in Ibrahimpatnam Municipality.
However, tensions were reported during a separate municipal process. An argument broke out between councilors in the wake of the Khanapur Chairperson election. The dispute arose during the process of raising hands. Meanwhile, the MLA and Congress councilors argued with officials during the proceedings.
The incident created a tense situation at the venue. Councilors from different groups expressed disagreement over the process. However, authorities have not yet shared further details about the outcome of the dispute.
In another development, BRS has also won the Sattenapalli Municipality in Mancherial district. BRS candidate Sandhya Rani has been elected as the Chairman there. Meanwhile, CPI candidate Saritha secured the Vice Chairperson post. Congress councilors abstained from this election.
These developments highlight multiple outcomes across municipalities. While BRS secured key chairman posts, other parties also gained positions in vice chairperson roles. Meanwhile, political differences were visible during election processes in some areas.
