Ikebana Organizes “A Mélange Of Art And Literature”

Hyderabad, Aug.15 (Maxim News): Ikebana International Hyderabad Chapter organized “A Mélange of Art and Literature“ on Wednesday at a hotel in Begumpet, Secunderabad.

Hokiku Vineetha Kumar, President Ikebana International of Hyderabad Chapter, said the Chapter’s monthly meet was held to celebrate the much-acclaimed best seller book “Selfie of Success” authored by the Tourism Secretary Burra Venkatesham. The book provides a comprehensive glimpse into all aspects of success with real-life experiences of celebrities and others adding their life stories and how they rose from rock bottom to great heights.

Ikebana International also conducted a floral demonstration by Rama B. Rama Murthy, a renowned floral artist, well versed in Ikebana and Dutch floral art from the city of Bengaluru. Rama conducted many exhibitions and successfully showcased her innovative and thematic floral arrangements at the Lalbagh since 2003 and also in various organizations.

The Tourism & Cultural department has been a great support in spreading the art of Ikebana and sponsored the Ikebana International Hyderabad Chapter in organizing the Ikebana floral festival during Bathukamma celebrations in the State in the past. Ikebana International Members meet every month over interesting workshops, exhibitions, Japanese culture programs and Indo-Japanese fusion events and more. The members work hard at promoting Ikebana, spreading the awareness of nature and environmental issues. (Maxim News)
