Hyderabad, Aug 1 (Maxim News): The first unit of the 800 MW capacity Yadadri Thermal Power Plant built in Damarcherla, Nalgonda district, was inaugurated on August 1 by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramakra.
The Deputy Chief Minister, along with other ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy and District in-charge minister Adluri Laxman. They also laid the foundation stone for the integrated township works to be built at Rs. 950 crores.

The BRS government laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Yadadri Thermal Power Plant in 2015. This project is being built by TG GENCO. The first unit of 800 MW of the total five units was inaugurated today.
The government estimates that the power demand across the state is likely to increase to 22,288 MW by 2028-29. The government plans to generate 31,809 MW of electricity by 2034-35. (Maxim News)
