India-Pakistan War: High Alert In Telangana And AP

Delhi/Hyderabad, May 9 (Maxim News): Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, a high alert has been declared in 14 areas in both the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Center has advised the police to be alert at Secunderabad Railway Station, Shamshabad Airport, kukatpally, Nampally, Hyderabad Central Bus Station, tirumala, Visakhapatnam RK beach, vijayawada Railway Station, Vijayawada Bus Stand, and MG Road.

In the wake of the Pakistani attacks, the Central Home Ministry officials have alerted the TTD officials. The Central Home Ministry officials have given several instructions to the TTD officials on the security measures to be taken in Tirupati. As per the Center’s instructions, the TTD has further strengthened the security in Tirupati.

On the other hand, the Union Home Ministry is alerting the states in the wake of India-Pakistan tensions. The Union Home Ministry has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of all states and union territories. It has ordered the use of emergency powers as per the Civil Defence Rules to effectively implement the necessary precautionary measures.

Security has also been increased at all ports across the country. The Center has issued orders increasing security to the second level. The Director General of Shipping said that the security enhancement orders will come into effect immediately. The Center has increased security at ports, ships and terminals. (Maxim News)
