IndiGo Airlines Flights Cancelled in Hyderabad, DGCA Issues Summons
IndiGo Airlines | Hyderabad, Dec. 9: The ongoing operational crisis at IndiGo Airlines has entered its eighth day, causing significant inconvenience to passengers across the country.
With the situation yet to return to normal, a series of flight cancellations continues to disrupt travel plans.
At Hyderabad’s Shamshabad Airport, 14 IndiGo flights scheduled to depart for various states were cancelled. Additionally, 44 incoming IndiGo flights from different states to Hyderabad were grounded.
In total, the airline confirmed the cancellation of 56 flights, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded and their travel plans thrown into disarray.
Many passengers reported severe difficulties as they were unable to reach their destinations due to the sudden cancellations.
IndiGo Airlines: DGCA issued summons
Taking serious note of the escalating disruptions, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued summons to all airline operators, directing them to provide clarity on the situation.
Senior officials from the airlines are expected to appear before the DGCA soon to explain the reasons behind the widespread interruptions in services.
The government initiated this action with the intent to prevent such large-scale inconvenience to passengers in the future and to ensure a permanent resolution to the crisis.
Meanwhile, IndiGo has stated that its full operations are expected to be restored by December 10, assuring that the situation will stabilise and services will return to normalcy soon.
