The situation forced authorities to introduce several alternatives. SpiceJet arranged 100 additional flights across the country to help ease the pressure. Meanwhile, Railways and Telangana RTC started special services to support stranded passengers. These steps came as the crisis continued to affect air travel for a large number of people.
Officials said that special trains were being run from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Howrah to Hyderabad. The input states that 89 special train services with more than 100 trips were made available to meet the sudden rise in demand. The Railways also operated 37 trains with additional coaches. These measures aimed to reduce crowding and ensure that passengers had more options to continue their journeys.

GMR and RTC arranged special buses from Shamshabad to several cities. Buses were made available for Chennai, Bengaluru, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Kakinada and Visakhapatnam. This emergency arrangement allowed people to choose road transport when flights were cancelled or delayed. The additional buses played a key role in managing the heavy passenger movement at the airport.
The crisis led to confusion and long queues, but the coordinated response from airlines, Railways and RTC helped reduce the impact. However, the input does not provide details on the cause of the IndiGo crisis or how long the disruption may last. For now, the special services remain active to support the heavy flow of people affected by the cancellations.
