Interstate Attention Diversion Offender Held, Diamonds Worth Rs. 18 Lakhs Seized 

Hyderabad, Jan 27 (Maxim News): Afzalgunj Police apprehended interstate attention diversion offender,  Mohammed Ruhila 31. Gem Stones Business resident near water tank, IK Road Alipura, Gowribidanura Taluk, Manchanhalli police station, Chikkaballapur district of Karnataka and recovered 64 carets Diamonds worth Rs. 18 lakhs from his possession.

The police have booked the case Under Section 379 IPC Sec. 4 (1s), 21(1) of MMRD Act of PS Hoshahalli, Chikballapur, Karnataka (Illegal Sand transporting) and also under 31-2019, U’S 420 IPC of PS Vidhan Soudha, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The facts of the case is that complaint has been received in which. the offender stated that his family is engaged in the Diamonds business, they have listed the availability of diamonds on the India Mart Website, by seeing this one Mohd. Ruhulia approached them and showed interest to purchase the diamonds. as per his request complainant and his brother came to Hyderabad accused also reached Hyderabad and stayed at Ambika Lodge, Afzalggunj, Hyderabad.

On 25-01-2023 in the afternoon hours, the complainant’s brother came to Ambika Lodge and met the accused, and showed the diamond packet the accused agreed to purchase the same and simply return the diamond packet to the complainant’s brother. They thought that deal has completed and have to deliver the diamonds to the accused after receiving the amount. The further complainant and his brother went to Secundrabad to meet another customer and opened the packet where they noticed that the diamonds in the packet were not genuine. (Maxim News)
