Iran Closes Its Airspace Due To Fear Of US Attack

Tehran/Internet/Hyderabad, Jan 15 (Maxim News) It is said that the US must launch attacks on Iran, which has been gripped by violent protests for almost two weeks. Several news agencies, including Reuters, are reporting that US President Trump has decided to take military action within the next 24 hours. The US is said to be considering an attack on Iran as the death toll continues to rise. However, it is not known how severe the attack will be. The US is already evacuating some personnel from its key Al-Udeid air base in Qatar, near Iran, as well as several military bases across West Asia. The US and its regional allies have also recently launched an air defense operations cell at Al-Udeid air base.

In this context, Iran has taken a key decision. It has announced that it is closing its airspace. It has said that nothing is allowed except flights to and from Iran with special permission. It issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) in this regard last night. However, before this, flight tracking websites showed that the airspace of Iran and Iraq was completely empty.

Indian airlines have issued an advisory to their passengers. They said that some flights are being diverted and some services have been cancelled due to tensions in Iran. Some are being diverted and some have been cancelled. Air India has appealed to passengers to check updates from time to time. Another airline, IndiGo, has also issued a similar advisory. It said that some international services have been affected due to the closure of Iranian airspace. It said that it is reviewing the situation from time to time and is operating services on alternative routes. (Maxim News)
