Iran War: Tehran Sets Conditions to Restart US Talks | Trump arrived at the White House a short time ago, a day early. | Rumors that he is contemplating a strike on Yemen. Resumption of war with Iran is another possibility.

The latest diplomatic move comes as military tensions continue across the region. The United States has maintained a naval blockade affecting Iranian ports, while fighting and attacks involving Iran, Israel, the US and regional armed groups have continued.

Iran has also been seeking regional support over the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global energy shipments. Earlier efforts involving Iran and Oman to establish arrangements for restoring maritime traffic faced difficulties because of differences among regional countries.

The situation has also widened beyond Iran. Saudi Arabia said its air defences intercepted a ballistic missile launched towards Riyadh by Yemen’s Houthi rebels on September 19.

The Houthis also claimed attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure, although those claims have not been independently verified.

Diplomatic Solution

The developments add to pressure for a diplomatic solution while military operations continue.

For Tehran, lifting the naval blockade and ending hostilities remain central to any return to negotiations. Washington has yet to publicly accept Iran’s latest conditions.

Rezaei’s statement indicates that diplomatic channels remain open, but there is no confirmed agreement to end the war or restart formal negotiations.
