Jagga To Erect Gandhi Statue At Sangareddy

Hyderabad, Feb.6 (Maxim News): Congress MLA T. Jagga Reddy on Thursday reiterated that he would stick to his statement that he would shun politics for the next three months. He said he would consider Mahatma Gandhi as harbinger of peace.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Jagga Reddy said Mahatma Gandhi had achieved freedom for the nation through non-violent struggle. He also expressed his displeasure over the statements of the BJP leaders that Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse was far better than Gandhi. He said while the BJP was holding Gandhi Sankalp Yatra, its MPs were abusing the Father of the Nation. He demanded that the BJP MPs tender an unconditional apology to the people of the country for insulting the Mahatma. He also said he would erect a 130-foot Gandhi statue at Sangareddy soon. He also said he would invite Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi for the statue unveiling ceremony. (Maxim News)
