He stated that he did not switch parties for posts or benefits. Instead, he said he joined BRS to help remove the present troubles facing the state. He also said he could no longer bear repeated humiliation at this stage of life.
Jeevan Reddy joins BRS
Jeevan Reddy strongly criticised the Revanth Reddy government. He said the state created noise over Medigadda repairs but failed to respond properly after the SLBC tunnel collapse. He added that eight workers died, yet bodies were not recovered quickly.
He also alleged that the Congress government delayed key welfare promises. He said Rythu Bandhu support had suffered. Moreover, he claimed the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme also stalled despite earlier promises.
At the same time, Jeevan Reddy praised KCR’s leadership. He said he had shared a bond with KCR since student days. Therefore, he thanked the former chief minister for standing by him during difficult times.
He further said Jagityal district became a reality because of KCR’s vision. In addition, he credited the previous BRS government for a medical college, the Bornapalli bridge and Gurukul schools in the region.
He also praised the increase in reservations for tribal communities during the BRS rule. Meanwhile, BRS leaders said Jeevan Reddy’s entry would strengthen the party in north Telangana.
Political observers believe the move could impact local equations in Jagityal and nearby areas. As a result, the latest development has triggered fresh debate in Telangana politics.
