Hyderabad, May 1: Aviation Turbine Fuel prices for international airlines have been increased by 5 percent, marking the second straight monthly rise.

According to state owned oil firms, ATF prices rose by 5.33 percent in New Delhi.

The revised rate stands at US$ 1511.86 per kilolitre after an increase of US$ 76.55 per kl.

However, there is no change in jet fuel prices for domestic airlines.

This follows a sharp hike on April 1, when domestic ATF prices rose by 25 percent.

Officials said the current increase reflects rising global crude and fuel costs.

They added that a calibrated approach is being followed to avoid sudden shocks.
