Hyderabad, July 17: The Telangana High Court has granted conditional permission to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) to hold its BRS Yuva Sangrama Sabha at Saroornagar Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
The court permitted the public meeting after directing the organisers to strictly comply with police guidelines and ensure that law and order is maintained.
During the hearing, the High Court instructed the organisers not to block highways or disrupt public movement during the event. It also directed the BRS to adhere to all instructions issued by the police.
The court’s order came after BRS approached it challenging the police’s refusal to grant permission for the meeting.
According to BRS leaders, the Yuva Sangrama Sabha aims to highlight what they describe as the Congress government’s failure to fulfil promises made to youth during the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections.
The party alleged that commitments such as an unemployment allowance, a job calendar and fee reimbursement have not yet been implemented.
BRS leaders have appealed to unemployed youth, students and supporters from across Telangana to attend the meeting in large numbers.
BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) is scheduled to attend the event as the chief guest. (Maxim News)
