Jubilee Hills By-Poll: BJP Alleges Congress-AIMIM Collusion
Hyderabad, Oct 8: BJP MP Raghunandan Rao has accused the Congress and AIMIM of colluding in the Jubilee Hills by-election in Telangana.
Speaking at the BJP state office in Nampally, Rao questioned why AIMIM, which usually fields candidates nationwide, is not contesting the Jubilee Hills seat.
He suggested this absence signals a conspiracy the people of Jubilee Hills should consider.
Rao also pointed to divisions within AIMIM, noting contrasting support from the Owaisi brothers—Asaduddin backing Congress and Akbaruddin leaning towards BRS—questioning if MIM itself is split.
He claimed Congress plans to nominate a candidate endorsed by Majlis, alleging a false promise to hand over the GHMC mayor’s post to AIMIM in December’s elections.
He warned that the two parties might announce a joint candidate out of fear that BJP could win the Jubilee Hills seat and possibly the mayor’s post.
Rao further alleged that if an MIM candidate becomes Hyderabad’s mayor next, there will be no difference between Bainsaku and Bhagyanagaram, implying continued political domination without change.
