Hyderabad, July 25, 2025 (Maxim News): In a welcome move for passengers, the South Central Railway (SCR) has announced the extension of the popular Kacheguda-Mysore Express (Train Nos. 12785/12786) up to Ashokapuram. The express train, which previously operated between Kacheguda and Mysore, will now run between Kacheguda and Ashokapuram, enhancing last-mile connectivity for travelers heading to the southern part of Mysuru.
This extension is expected to ease travel for passengers bound for Ashokapuram and adjoining areas, eliminating the need for additional transit from Mysore Junction.

Alongside this route extension, SCR officials also announced the augmentation of several long-distance trains with additional sleeper coaches to accommodate the growing passenger demand. The modifications will come into effect from the last week of September 2025.
Here are the details of the augmentation:
- Hyderabad–CST Mumbai Express (22731): 2 extra sleeper coaches from September 23
- CST Mumbai–Hyderabad Express (22732): 2 extra sleeper coaches from September 26
- CST Mumbai–Hyderabad Express (12701): 2 extra sleeper coaches from September 24

- Secunderabad–Bhubaneswar Express (17016): 3 extra sleeper coaches from September 23

Railway officials stated that these enhancements are being introduced to meet the increased seasonal demand and improve passenger comfort during long-distance travel.
