Kalapathar Police Crack Teen Murder Case, Three People Arrested

Hyderabad, July 27: Kalapathar Police have solved the murder of a 17 year old boy within days of the crime by arresting three accused involved in the case. The arrests were made in connection with Crime No. 136/2026 registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act.

The victim, Faiz Mohammed alias Azaan, a resident of Biryanishah Tekri in Kalapathar, was allegedly murdered during the early hours of July 19.

According to the police, the accused, Mohammed Abrar, Mohammed Ismail alias Farhaan and Mohammed Ashfaq, had gone to Biryanishah Tekri at around 2.30 am in search of another person.

Investigators said the victim questioned the trio about their presence in the locality. Following an altercation, Abrar and Farhaan allegedly attacked him with sharp edged knives, while Ashfaq assaulted him with fists.

The teenager sustained multiple injuries and died at the scene. The accused fled on an Activa scooter after the attack.

Kalapathar Police launched an intensive investigation by examining eyewitnesses, collecting forensic evidence and analysing technical clues.

Based on credible information, the police arrested all three accused near Chandrayangutta on July 27.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to the offence. Police recovered two blood stained knives believed to have been used in the murder, blood stained clothes, the Activa scooter bearing registration number AP13 AB 0101 and three mobile phones.

Police said the investigation also revealed that all three accused have previous criminal antecedents. They were produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. Further investigation is continuing.

The investigation was led by Inspector Mohammed Khaleel Pasha of Kalapathar Police Station, assisted by Sub Inspector B. Shiva Kumar Reddy and other police personnel.
