Karthik Reddy Quits Congress Following Denial Of Ticket

Telangana Congress received a big jolt on Thursday with Patolla Karthik Reddy, a member of the party’s campaign committee, resigning from his post. His resignation came in the wake of his being denied a party ticket to contest from Rajendranagar constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Karthik Reddy, son of former Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy, said he had been working hard for the party over the past few years in the constituency and allocation of the constituency to TDP by the Congress undermined all the hard work. “The TDP candidate is guaranteed to lose the elections. Ask anyone in the constituency and they will tell you that Congress will win from here. If Mahakutami wants to win from here, then Congress must field its candidate from here. It does not matter if it is me or someone else but it must be a Congress candidate,” he said.
