Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): A Jammu and Kashmir man claimed now the supporters of Congress president Rahul Gandhi assaulted him for raising slogans for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to sources, the assault took place during the protest of the INDIA bloc which was held recently in the national capital. Police has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the unknown persons after this complaint.

The incident happened in the Connaught Place area on Thursday, October 8 during opposition protests calling for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar due to possible irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Complainant Fahim Nazir said he went there to protest the charge of “vote theft” made by the Opposition and expressed his support for the Prime Minister. He was carrying a placard and giving slogans in support of Mr Modi, when someone in the crowd started shouting anti-government slogans, said Nazir. The exchange apparently escalated into a confrontation.
Speaking to NDTV, Nazir said that he wanted to discuss the irregularities in the election with Rahul Gandhi and he was waiting for his answers. BJP president Vijay Goel had said in the statement that these issues have not been discussed in Congress’ agenda at all during its two wins in the past three elections in 2004 and 2009, but have been raised since the BJP’s string of victories since 2014.
In responding to charges of vote rigging, Nazir also spoke of the electoral triumphs of Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi.
complainant reports Head and Arm injuries
During the confrontation, the supporters of Rahul Gandhi had beaten Nazir, he alleged. He reported that he had been injured to his head and arm and was suffering a severe headache, he said.
The allegations have not been independently established. Delhi Police have lodged a complaint against the unknown individuals and the incident will be probed.
The FIR comes as a new development in the political tensions as a result of the current protests in the national capital. (Maxim News)
