Kavitha Demands Removal Of Bandi Sanjay From Cabinet

Hyderabad, May 16: K Kavitha has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking the removal of Bandi Sanjay Kumar from the Union Cabinet over the ongoing POCSO case involving his son Sai Bhageerath.

Kavitha said the minister should step down to ensure an impartial and transparent investigation in the case.

In her letter, Kavitha expressed concern that Bandi Sanjay’s position as Union Minister of State for Home Affairs could indirectly influence the investigation.

She urged the Prime Minister to intervene immediately and remove him from the Cabinet to uphold democratic values and ensure justice for the complainant.

Meanwhile, Telangana Police intensified efforts to trace Sai Bhageerath, who is accused in the POCSO case and is reportedly absconding.

Police formed four special teams and carried out searches in Hyderabad, Karimnagar and Delhi. Officials also conducted searches at residences linked to Bandi Sanjay’s relatives and associates.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that Sai Bhageerath had not yet been taken into custody and remained absconding.

Cyberabad Police also warned that strict action would be taken under the Juvenile Justice Act against anyone sharing photographs, videos or identifying details of the minor complainant on social media.

The investigation in the case is continuing.
