KCR Introduced Many Welfare Schemes: Talasani

Hyderabad, Sept.24 (Maxim News): Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today said that a total of 1.2 crore Bathukamma saris are being distributed among women in the state.

To mark the inaugural, the minister participated in the saris distribution programs in Secunderbad, Amberpet, Goshamahal areas. On the occasion, he told the women and people that chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is keen on welfare. Like elder brother in the family, our Chief Minister had introduced Bathukamma program as a state festival being celebrated abroad too.

Only KCR government spending about Rs 40000 crore for welfare in the country while the centre allots meager funds, he said. This program will continue till month end, he said and asked women to patiently take the saris. He said that the officials have made necessary arrangements at all places for the saris distribution. The minister said that the women will pick the saris ahead of Dasara festival and celebrate it in total jubilation.

Srinivas said that the government sanctioned 15.40 lakhs of saris to GHMC and distribute them till month end. He said that the program is being coordinated by GHMC and civil supplies departments.

The floral festival is being celebrated in villages, towns, cities and states and in foreign countries too, he claimed. Telangana government has started the prestigious Bathukamma saris to ensure that the women folk celebrate the floral festival in a grand manner. Srinivas said that the credit goes to chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for Kalyaan Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, pensions to poor and others in the state.
