Hyderabad, Sept.14 (Maxim News): Health Minister Etala Rajender today informed the Assembly that the KCR Kits program is a big success.
During question hour, he said that the new initiative of the government has increased institutional deliveries. So far, he said, the government hospitals offered deliveries to about 12 lakhs. He said that 11.91,275 deliveries registered so far in the hospitals.
The centre appreciated the same and the government strengthens hospitals with more facilities he said. KCR Kits has almost doubled the institutional deliveries from 30 per cent to more than 50 percent. As a result infant mortality declined and people prefer to get its services he claimed.
Rajender informed that the government increased facilities and staff to provide the best services. Asha workers pay attention to pregnant ladies and doctors send them to hospitals based on their situation and requirements he added. (Maxim News)
