KCR Request HC not transfer SIT Case to CBI

Hyderabad, Jan 4 (Maxim News): The Telangana government headed by Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao went to the Chief Justice bench of Justice Ujjal Bhuyan against the judgment given by a single bench of the High Court handing over the Moinabad Farmhouse case (MLAs purchase case) to the CBI. The Special Investigation Team constituted by KCR has filed a petition in the division bench, in this petition, it has requested to stop the transfer of the case to the CBI.

It may be recalled that the single bench of the High Court has recently given its verdict handing over the Farmhouse case to the CBI. According to the copy of the judgment, the judge opined that the purchase of MLAs was wrong. He commented that the SIT has failed to tell who gave the evidence to the Chief Minister. he strongly objected to the investigation information being sent to the Chief Minister. It is claimed that all the evidence that should have been with the investigating officers has gone to the media and the public.

The investigation information should not be disclosed to anyone including the media. The single Judge bench commented that key evidence was exposed at the initial stage of the investigation. The Judge said that the SIT investigation was not transparent. due to the disclosure of the evidence of the investigation, the investigation will not be conducted properly. According to Articles 20 and 21, the accused can demand that the investigation be carried out in a proper manner along with a fair trial. (Maxim News)
