Hyderabad, May 29 (Maxim News): Congress Party MP Komatireddy venkat Reddy said that sole aim of chief minister KCR was to turn South Telangana region of state into desert. He also alleged that the Chief Minister was talking about linking Godavari river with Krishna river only to earn commissions by taking up more number of irrigation projects.

He also alleged that the undivided Nalgonda district would also turn into a desert due to the Konda Pochamma reservoir. Reddy alleged that the state government had put aside Gandamalla and Baswapur reservoirs and added that the congress party leaders and workers were agitating on the same issue. He made it clear that the Congress was ready to hold agitation programs against the bipartisan attitude of the state government towards their region. He called upon the party leaders and workers to make the proposed dharna programs at all Krishna river based projects on June 2,2020 a grand success. He also called upon all opposition political party leaders to come forward and fight along with them on the issue.

Reddy also demanded the AP government to immediately cancel the GO No.203 issued by it to draw Krishna water through Pothreddypadu head regulator He made it clear that Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir would not get single drop of water if the Rayalaseema lift irrigation project was taken up by AP government.
