Khakis Ruckus In Korutla: Police Blocked Funeral Procession For Minister Uttam’s Speech

Korutla/Hyderabad, Feb 7 (Maxim News): Police overreacted during the visit of State Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy to Korutla town in Jagtial district. They blocked the funeral procession for half an hour, saying the minister was giving a speech. The relatives of the deceased waited on the road with the body in the sun for half an hour. Kommanapalli Sasikala, a resident of the town, died of cancer last night. The police stopped them while the minister was giving a speech on the road while the body was being taken to the crematorium in a procession.

The fact that the funeral procession was blocked by the police until the speech was over was shocking. When journalists reached the scene, the police brought the matter to the attention of the minister and allowed the funeral procession. The relatives of the deceased expressed their anger over the police’s behavior.
