Hyderabad, Sept. 9 (Maxim News): BRS working president KT Rama Rao met Telangana Governor and sought action over several complaints against the Congress government.
KTR said the delegation met the Governor on the directions of BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao. He first thanked the Governor for giving them time.
KTR also enquired about the Governor’s health following his recent illness. He then explained what BRS described as serious issues facing Telangana.
KTR alleged that Congress came to power with 1,000 promises. He claimed the government had failed to fulfil those promises during its 1,000 days in office.
He also alleged that the government had failed in administration. KTR said the delegation explained the difficulties faced by people across Telangana.
The delegation raised farmers’ problems with the Governor. It also discussed concerns involving unemployed students and young people.

KTR alleged that Rahul Gandhi had failed to honour promises made to Telangana’s unemployed youth. He also highlighted the ongoing protests by polytechnic students and their demands.
The BRS leader then raised the recent Assembly controversy. He alleged that police attacked BRS leaders during protests on the first day of the Assembly session.
KTR said BRS planned to protest through T-shirts, similar to Rahul Gandhi’s method of protest in Parliament. He alleged that police stopped BRS legislators on the road and prevented them from entering the legislature.
He said the delegation submitted photographs and other evidence about the alleged attacks. KTR particularly raised the alleged treatment of women legislators.
He alleged that police pulled the saree of BRS leader and former minister Sunitha Lakshma Reddy. KTR described the incident as an attack on the dignity of a woman legislator.
KTR Seeks Governor’s Intervention In BRS Dispute
KTR alleged that the government attacked BRS leaders and later blamed them for the confrontation. He also said police ignored complaints filed against officers who allegedly attacked BRS leaders.
The BRS working president further raised the issue of KCR’s residence. He alleged that Congress MLAs went to KCR’s residence and attempted to create a violent situation.
KTR also alleged that people beat death drums outside KCR’s residence and sought his death. He claimed the Chief Minister personally stood behind the developments.
These allegations remain claims made by KTR and BRS. The government’s response to the specific allegations will determine the factual position.
KTR also alleged that the government prevented BRS members from entering the Assembly and Legislative Council despite High Court directions. He said the government had shown no respect for the Constitution or courts.
He linked the issue to the suspension of BRS legislators. KTR alleged that the government suspended the members after blocking them from entering the legislature.
The BRS leader also challenged the allegations surrounding Legislative Council members. He claimed the government attributed words to Council members that they had not spoken.
KTR said the government was portraying an alleged insult against the Speaker as an established incident. He also alleged that Congress was using the term “Davit Speaker” for political purposes.
At the same time, KTR said BRS had great respect for Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. He alleged that Congress itself was attempting to politicise the Speaker’s identity.
KTR described the Assembly using strong political expressions, including “Kaurava Sabha” and “Dushasana Sabha”. He said the government’s conduct had damaged the dignity of the legislature.
The delegation also complained about AI generated photographs and videos. KTR said BRS had already filed complaints over the material released by the government.
He said the party would pursue legal action against those who used false images and false complaints against its leaders.
KTR said the Governor had given an assurance to examine all the issues raised by the delegation. He said this would include matters connected with the Assembly and incidents that occurred outside it.
The BRS leader said the party expected the Governor to intervene in what it described as ongoing political repression. He said BRS approached the Governor after seeking justice for Telangana people and demanding implementation of government promises.
KTR also warned that BRS would approach the National Commission for Women if the party failed to receive justice in Telangana.
The meeting comes amid heightened political tensions between Congress and BRS. The ongoing Assembly session has witnessed disputes over protests, suspensions, legislative conduct and police action.
KTR said BRS would continue to raise public issues while pursuing legal and constitutional avenues. He urged authorities to examine the complaints and ensure justice according to law. (Maxim News)
