KTR Salutes Pink Party Soldiers On Foundation Day

Hyderabad, April 27 (Maxim news): TRS Foundation Day was celebrated across the State by party leaders and workers on Saturday. To mark the occasion, party working president KT Rama Rao extended greetings to all the TRS leaders and functionaries. He also unveiled the party flag at Telangana Bhavan.

Speaking on the occasion, the party working president said party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao has achieved the statehood followed by a prolonged battle. Though several parties camped up during the 71 years of Independence, only the TRS could sustain its base and strengthened to win the polls, he said. KCR started the separate State movement in 2001 stating that statehood will be achieved through sacrifices.

Recalling that erstwhile Hyderabad State merged into the Indian Union in 1948, KTR said India got independence in August 1947. He also said KCR had resigned from three posts like deputy speaker, party membership and MLA for achieving statehood. In the long run of 18 years of struggle, the TRS saw several ups and downs and achieved statehood at last in 2014, he said, adding that now the TRS has become a strong political party. “Thousands of people walked along with him during the agitation and today, the numbers increased to lakhs of people who are walking along with him in realising the dream of Bangaru Telangana,” he said
