Legendary Singer Pankaj Udhas Passed Away

Mumbai/yderabad,  Feb 26 (Maxim News): Legendary singer Pankaj Udhas passed away at the age of 72. Pankaj’s team confirmed his death today (February 26) morning. This news shocked many people. Singer Sonu Nigam was among those who reacted to his death.

Pankaj Udhas was born on May 17, 1951 in Jetpur, Gujarat. He released a ghazal album named Aahat in 1980. After that he became synonymous with Ghazal music in India. Bollywood ghazal singer Sanjay Dutt sang the iconic track Chitti Aayi Hai for the film Naam. The song brought tears to everyone’s eyes. Pankaj has released several albums. Many live concerts have been held over the years.

This further increased his popularity. Pankaj Udas received the Padma shri, India’s fourth highest civilian award. (Maxim News)
