Local Court Granted Four Persons Involved In Online Gaming Racket Case

Hyderabad: A local court on Monday, granted four-day police custody of four persons who were allegedly involved in the online gaming racket busted by the City Police earlier this month.

The four persons including a Chinese national were brought from the jail to the Cybercrime police station where they will be questioned by the police in connection with the online gaming fraud.

The Hyderabad Police probing the Rs 1,100 crore online gaming racket had found that the China-based T Beijing Company flouted several companies and was organizing online gaming by luring customers mostly students and unemployed persons and enabling money transactions through Paytm and Cash Free to the tune of Rs 760 crore. The police again questioned officials of Paytm company on the money transactions on Monday as well.

The police have also found a few more accounts maintained by the company in different banks where huge sums of money was deposited. However, it is not clear if the money is connected to the online gaming racket or not.
