Lok Sabha adjourned twice | Hyderabad, July 21 (Maxim News): The Lok Sabha was adjourned twice on Tuesday till 2 p.m. after Opposition sloganeering disrupted proceedings during the Monsoon Session.
Opposition protests stall House again
Presiding officer Sandhya Ray adjourned the House after repeated appeals for order failed. Earlier, Speaker Om Birla had adjourned proceedings till noon for the same reason. He told members that everyone would get a chance to raise their issues.
Before the session began, INDIA bloc leaders held a strategy meeting. Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Supriya Sule attended the meeting.
Lok Sabha adjourned twice
The Lok Sabha is scheduled to consider the Supreme Court Number of Judges Amendment Bill, 2026, later in the day.
The day’s disruptions followed similar scenes on Monday. Opposition parties have been demanding discussions on issues including exam paper leaks and protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. The repeated adjournments have again stalled parliamentary business. (Maxim News)
