Hyderabad, May 13: Mahesh Kumar Goud said strict action is needed in the Bandi Bhagirath case and asserted that law must take its course.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, he said arrests should follow serious allegations under POCSO. He added that delay in action could create legal issues. He stated that Bandi Bhagirath would be arrested.
He also said Bhagirath is reportedly absconding. However, he added that he does not believe Bhagirath has left the country.

Goud said there is no need to protect Bhagirath in the case. He stressed that the Congress party enacted the POCSO law. He said the party will ensure justice for the victim.
He also referred to Revanth Reddy as a key Congress leader. He said the government is not delaying the case.
Meanwhile, Goud criticized Narendra Modi. He alleged that the Centre has not delivered expected benefits. He also claimed internal conflicts exist within the BJP.
He further said political rivalries are higher in BJP than in Congress. He added that Congress will not step back until justice is delivered.
In addition, he spoke on other issues. He said the Women’s Commission chairperson was appointed under special circumstances. He questioned political narratives around leadership titles.
Goud also commented on state politics. He said crop yield has improved and procurement is ongoing. He added that there are no major issues in grain purchase.
He criticized the BJP’s political approach in other states. He claimed the party failed to win democratically in some regions.
