Mahesh Vaishnavi, who won a gold medal in International Commonwealth Powerlifting, met MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav in a courtesy call and showed him the medals he got at his office in West Marredpally on Thursday. He congratulated Mahesh Vaishnavi on this occasion. She explained that 600 athletes from about 30 countries participated in the competitions held in Sun City, South Africa from the 4th to the 13th of this month. She said that in the 84 kg category, along with the gold medal, the strong woman of the championship medal was also awarded.
She thanked MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav and youth leaders Talasani Sai Kiran Yadav for supporting her in every way and encouraging her that she was able to achieve these medals. On this occasion, she recalled that she had given financial support to attend the Commonwealth Games with great faith in her. (Maxim News)
