Hyderabad, June 25 (Maxim News): Mailardevpally police arrested three men for allegedly robbing an auto driver at knifepoint in Vattepally and recovered cash, a knife, mobile phones and two vehicles used in the crime.
Police said the robbery took place in the early hours of June 20 near Guntal Sha Baba Dargah. The accused allegedly intercepted the auto driver near Nice Hotel in Vattepally, threatened him with a knife and robbed him of his mobile phone and Rs 1,600 in cash.
The accused were arrested on June 24 near Ayan Hotel in Vattepally after police acted on credible information. During questioning, they confessed to the offence, police said.

The arrested men were identified as Mohammed Mahaboob alias Baba, 25, a welder from Star Colony in Vattepally, Mohammed Saddam alias Abdul Kaleem, 29, who runs a coffee shop in Roshan Colony, and Shaik Raheel, 36, a car driver from Roshan Colony.
Police said Mahaboob and Saddam are rowdy sheeters of Mailardevpally police station. Investigators also found that both had previous criminal cases. Mahaboob was earlier booked in murder, arms and NDPS cases, while Saddam was also named in a murder and arms case.
Police seized Rs 1,600 in cash, one knife, the victim’s Realme mobile phone, one Samsung S23 mobile phone, a white Honda Activa and a TVS Ntorq bike from the accused.
The police said the seizure and arrests helped solve the Mailardevpally robbery case within four days of the incident. Further investigation is underway. (Maxim News)
