Hyderabad, May 1: Mamata Banerjee visited a strongroom in Bhabanipur after allegations of EVM tampering during the ongoing West Bengal Assembly election process.
She stayed inside the strongroom for several hours seeking transparency.

The Chief Minister reached the counting centre at Sakhawat Memorial School in Bhabanipur.
She remained inside the strongroom for nearly four hours before leaving after midnight.
Banerjee said she acted after receiving complaints from party workers.
She called for transparency and protection of votes cast by citizens.
She also asked officials to ensure proper monitoring, including CCTV arrangements.
Initially, central forces reportedly restricted her entry, she claimed.
Meanwhile, Suvendu Adhikari reacted to the development.
He said his party agent would remain present as long as Banerjee stayed there.
He added that any violation of rules would be opposed.
The Election Commission of India rejected allegations of tampering.
Officials said all procedures were followed and the strongroom remained secure.
They added that the facility was sealed as per norms and separate arrangements exist for postal ballots.
Counting of votes is scheduled to take place on May 4.
