Hyderabad, July 16 (Maxim News): A suspected bike thief was caught red-handed while allegedly attempting to steal a parked motorcycle in Athvelly, Medchal, on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wednesday afternoon.
According to initial reports, the man was seen tampering with the motorcycle parked on the roadside. Locals in the area grew suspicious after noticing him trying to dismantle parts of the vehicle.
When confronted, the suspect gave vague and inconsistent responses, further raising doubts. The residents immediately alerted the Medchal police, who arrived at the scene and apprehended the man.
The identity of the suspect and further details about his possible involvement in other theft cases are yet to be officially confirmed. Police have launched a preliminary investigation into the incident and are verifying whether the motorcycle had been previously reported stolen.
The timely action of vigilant locals played a crucial role in preventing the theft and ensuring the suspect was handed over to authorities. (Maxim News)
