Mancherial/Hyderabad, Nov 5 (Maxim News): A person was arrested by sleuths of Ramagundam commissionerate’s task force team for allegedly smuggling rice meant for the Public Distribution System (PDS) in Mandamarri on Tuesday. A trolley and 7 quintals of rice grains were seized from his possession.

In a statement, Ramagundam task force Inspector Raj Kumar said that Motam Raju from Vidyanagar in Mandmarri was apprehended while he was illegally transporting the grams by the trolley to Maharashtra, during a vehicle check. He was handed over to Mandamarri police for further action, while the rice was given to officials of the civil supplies department.
Sub-Inspector Lachanna and staffers of the team took part in the vehicle check. (Maxim News)
