Hyderabad, May 20 (Maxim News): A major fire accident took place at the premises of Kethepally Police Station in Nalgonda district on Wednesday.
According to officials, several vehicles seized in different criminal cases and parked inside the police station premises suddenly caught fire.
The flames reportedly spread rapidly from one vehicle to another within minutes, creating panic in the area. Police suspect that the intense summer heat or another unidentified reason may have triggered the fire.
After noticing the flames, Kethepally police personnel immediately alerted the local fire department.
Firefighters rushed to the spot with a fire engine and, along with police staff, launched an intensive operation to control the blaze.
Officials said the fire was brought under control in time, preventing it from spreading to the main police station building and avoiding major property loss.
Several seized vehicles were damaged in the incident. However, no casualties or injuries were reported.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Authorities are also assessing the extent of damage caused due to the incident. (Maxim News)
