Minister Asks Dt Collectors To Regularly Visit Anganwadis

Hyderabad, Dec.23 (Maxim News): Women and child welfare minister Satyavati Rathod today instructed the district collectors to regularly inspect Anganwadi centers in the state.

At a review meeting here,  she directed the officials to provide hot meals to children.  Satyavati Rathod asked the collectors to see that no attacks take place on women and girls. Conduct frequent checks and use improved police services to prevent atrocities against women and girls in the system.  Ensure that steps are taken for third party checking in the food delivery program. The minister said that she will write letters to all the collectors in this regard and to improve security.

All the Anganwadi centers in state  are to offer nutrient food to mother and child, she said.  The minister asked to improve security at director’s office.  She  asked for better publicity on government schemes at tribal festival of  Sammakka and Sarakja in Medaram.  The tribal devotees attend in lakhs to visit the site and get hassle free darshan of the deities,  she said.   The minister instructed the officials to provide basic facilities,  roads and regulate traffic near jathara site.(Maxim News)
