More Than 97% Of 2000 Notes Returned To RBI 

Mumbai/Hyderabad, Feb 2 (Maxim News): The total value of Rs. 2,000 banknotes in circulation, has declined to Rs. 8.897 crore at the close of business on January 31, 2024.

Thus, 97.50 percent of the Rs. 2,000 banknotes that were in circulation as of May 19, 2023, when the withdrawal was announced have been returned, the RBI said. (Maxim News)
