Murdered doctor’s Mairajuddin third wife commits suicide in old City Hyderabad

Charminar: Arshiya Begum, the third wife of a doctor who was murdered three days back by the brother of his second wife, committed suicide on Thursday. She was found hanging in a room at her Misrigunj residence in the old city late on Thursday.

The 30-year-old woman was married to the doctor, Syed Mairajuddin just two days before he was found murdered in a brutal manner at his clinic in Vijayanagar colony of Humayun Nagar on Tuesday. Dr.Mairajuddin was allegedly murdered by Azeemuddin, brother of his second wife, Naseem Sultana.


The suicide letter found by the police read: “I, Arshiya am going to end my life. I cannot live without Mairaj. Only Allah is responsible for my bad luck. Please bury me beside Mairaj’s grave. I wish to stay near Mairaj, consider this as my last wish. My apologies to all of you for the inconvenience.”


According to the family members, Arshiya whose marriage with Dr.Mairajuddin lasted just two days, She was under depresssion since then. On Thursday, she stayed at home the entire day and later retired to her room in the afternoon.

The family members who checked in the evening found her hanging and shifted to a hospital where she was declared as dead.
