South star Nagarjuna’s son, Akhil Akkineni, is keen to have Alia Bhatt as co-star in his next. Akhil, 22, has been signed for Vikram Kumar’s Telugu film, and the shoot is yet to kick off. Initially, talks were on with a South actress, but Akhil now wants to team up with a Bollywood name.
Rumour is that Nagarjuna has met Alia’s mentor, Karan Johar. There had been news about KJo launching Akhil in B-Town. Will Alia head South or will Akhil come to Mumbai? Those in the know say a decision is yet to be taken by Karan.
