Nalgonda Police Launches “Nenu Naa Vuru” Program

Nalgonda: Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nalgonda Venkateshwar Reddy felt that elected representatives of local bodies have a crucial role in creating awareness in the public on precautionary measures and control the spread of Covid-19.

Inaugurating the “Nenu Naa Vuru” programme taken up by Nalgonda rural police to create awareness among sarpanches of villages on Covid-19 precautionary measures. Venkateshwar Reddy said that there was a need to create awareness in the people in rural areas as the pandemic reached the level of community spread. The sarpanches have a crucial role to play in creating awareness among people as well as taking up precautionary measures in their villages, he added.

Stating that discrimination should not be shown towards Covid-19 positive patients by society, he suggested that sarpanches should help corona victims to stay at home isolation. “No need to panic as the recovery rate is very high. At the same time, the people should consume the food, which would boost immunity power,” he said.

He asked the sarpanches to make their grama panchayats as corona free villages by creating awareness among people by wearing masks and maintaining social distance.
