Nizamabad Municipal Superintendent’s Assets Expose: Rs. 6 Crore Worth Assets Seized

Hyderabad, Aug 9 (Maxim News): In a high-profile operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has uncovered a substantial cache of cash and assets during a raid on the residence of Dasari Narendra, Superintendent, and in-charge Revenue Officer at the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation. The raid was part of an investigation into allegations of disproportionate assets.

Details of the Seizure

The ACB’s search yielded Rs. 2.93 crore in cash, which was found hidden at Narendar’s home. In addition, the raid uncovered a total bank balance of Rs. 1.10 crore in accounts belonging to Narendra, his wife, and his mother. The authorities also seized 51 tolas of gold, valued at Rs. 6 lakh, and 17 immovable properties estimated at Rs. 1.98 crore. The total value of the seized assets amounts to approximately Rs. 6.07 crore.

Legal and Investigative Actions

The case against Narendra is being prosecuted under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, specifically Sections 13(1)(b) and 13(2), which address the possession of assets disproportionate to known sources of income obtained through corrupt means. Following the raid, Narendra was arrested and is set to appear before the Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.

The ACB has announced that the investigation is ongoing, with additional searches planned to uncover further assets linked to the case. (Maxim News)
