The much-anticipated 13th edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon is scheduled to take place on August 24th and 25th, 2024. Organized by the Hyderabad Runners Society, sponsored by NMDC, and powered by IDFC First Bank, this event marks the exciting beginning of the marathon season in India.

A Prestigious Event in Indian Marathon Circuit

Hyderabad proudly hosts the nation’s second-largest marathon, only after Mumbai, as the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon becomes the second city marathon in the country to receive the prestigious World Athletics label. With over 25,200 runners registered, including participants from across the country and abroad, this marathon promises to be a spectacular showcase of athleticism and community spirit.

The total prize money for the event stands at an impressive INR 44,00,000 (forty-four lakhs).

Route and Highlights

The marathon route is a picturesque journey through some of Hyderabad’s most iconic landmarks. Runners will pass by Hussain Sagar Lake, Raj Bhavan Road, KBR Park, Jubilee Hills Road No. 45, Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge, Bio-diversity Junction, and the University of Hyderabad, culminating at the Gachibowli Stadium. This scenic route offers participants an extraordinary experience, blending the beauty and cultural heritage of Hyderabad with the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
