Non-BJP leaders’ to meet before Parliament session

Kolkata, November 19: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that all political parties opposing the BJP would meet
before the Parliament winter session begins.

Talking to reporters after meeting West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee here on Monday evening, he said that they had detail discussions on matters plaguing the country at present. “There is need to save the nation, save democracy and protect the institutions.  Democracy is in danger. The CBI, ED, IT, RBI, and every institution is being destroyed. Demonetisation was a big farce, petrol and diesel prices have increased, rupee devalued, there is increasing unemployment prolbem. There is also this religious intolerance with minorities feeling insecure. It is a democratic compulsion that all non-BJP political parties come together,” he stated.

Pointing to Mamata Banerjee who was standing next to him, Chandrababu Naidu said she had been fighting against the ills from the beginning.  The non-BJP parties would meet before the Parliament session began since the elections were on in some States in the country, he explained.

Replying to questions, the AP Chief Minister said that he was `in touch with Mayawati and also everybody’. Discussions would be held
among all and a plan of action chalked out. On the decision to bar CBI in the State, he said that it was the states’ discretion.

Mamata Banerjee said they were all together to work against the BJP and the meeting of the non-BJP parties would be in December and before the Parliament session.
