India has been advised to work with Pakistan to reduce tensions between the two countries. Jaishankar revealed the details of his talks with Marco rubio on Twitter. Jaishankar said that he told Marco Rubio that the perpetrators and supporters of the Pahalgam terror attack should be brought to justice. However, Jaishankar did not mention Rubio’s suggestion to talk to Pakistan. With this, India does not seem to be backing down on the terrorists who carried out the attack in Pahalgam and the Pakistan that supported them.

India seems to have taken the US’s call to de-escalate tensions and work for peace lightly. A senior government official, who preferred to remain anonymous, told a national media channel that India will not agree to talks with Pakistan under any circumstances as it is determined to bring justice to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack.
