Hyderabad, October 23: AICC Disciplinary Committee has issued show-cause notices to Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, after an audio recording went viral on social media.
It should be noted here that an audio where Venkat Reddy reportedly seeking a Congress leader to vote for his brother Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, who is in Munugode by-poll fray as BJP candidate. He also reportedly asked the party leader to help his brother irrespective of parties. He even allegedly said that Rajagopal Reddy had helped several persons in the constituency. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy reportedly told the party leader that Congress will come to power and he will be the next TPCC chief.
In this regard, AICC disciplinary committee directed Komatireddy Venkat Reddy to give explanation over his phone call within 10 days. Otherwise, it warned of taking action against him.
Reacting over the audio recording, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that the audio is not the latest one. But it was recorded during 2014 elections, he added.
